Chelsea ease past Qarabag as Barcelona have their revenge

Davide Zappacosta

The Blues eased to 6-0 victory against lesser opposition as they showed that they have what it takes to be competitive this season.

Deadline day signing Davide Zappacosta was given his first start by manager Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night. The Italian rotated masterfully to show that his side can handle demands of competing on all four fronts this season.

His long-ranged goal and an assist saw Chelsea having all three points at The Bridge. Teammates Pedro, Bakayoko, Azpilicueta and Batshuayi (2) also got on the score sheet.

Barcelona had their revenge against Italian champions Juventus as they won 3-0 with a brace from maestro Lionel Messi.
