16 year old governor visits Rite Foods, pledges support for education

Sixteen year- old, Bukola Zoffun , that recently emerged 2017 one-day governor of Lagos state has pledged to use her status to encourage Nigerian youths, especially those from ghetto areas to seek proper education.

She stated this yesterday as Acting governor, during a courtesy visit to Rite Foods Limited, Opebi, Ikeja.

Bukola a senior secondary school students of Awodiora  Secondary school Ajegunle, who won this year’s contested Spelling Bee competition, organised by the state Ministry of Education, who thanked Rite Foods Limited , makers of Bigi soft drinks and Rite sausage rolls for encouraging youths through the set up of internship programmes, called on students to be determined and resilient in their pursuit of education.

Her words, “Through determination and resilience I was able to win this competition that enabled me to be the governor of this state today. My dream is to inspire and motivate students to take education seriously as it is a tool to greatness.

“Mr Fela Oke, Rite brand manager who received the acting governor, said that the indigenous company was committed to promoting education through sponsorships of programmes like Spelling Bee competitions and through the provision of internship for people like Zoffun who continue to show exceptional academic and moral track record.


“I must commend Lagos state government for this kind of initiative as it will go a long way in boosting education among our youths; “Also Rite foods being a proudly Nigerian, and truly world class company will continue to support youths like Bukola and also lend our supports in programmes that promote education at all levels.”added the Brand manager.
